Social Meets Clinical

We are enhancing the clinical content for our Social Media Program clients by providing with ScreenPlay video animations to use on social sites such as Facebook and YouTube.

Our Social Media Program provides our clients interesting and informative content that is used to drive online engagement. As a way to take our program to the next level we will be giving our clients engaging clinical content in video form. This content will come from our ScreenPlay, our orthodontic patient case presentation and education application. Our extensive library of educational videos includes professionally produced content on the care and use of specific appliances, compliance issues specific to Oral Hygiene, Retention and Elastic Wear. We also include procedure videos on a wide range of topics from Extractions to Getting Braces.

Our ScreenPlay videos include anatomically correct and visually appeasing 3D animations. This is important because video content is a key part of online marketing.

"By 2017, video will account for 69% of all consumer internet traffic, according to Cisco. Video-on-demand traffic alone will have almost trebled. Leafing through a swathe of statistics on the subject, I'm hard pressed to find any indicator that doesn't suggest rapid growth. With online video quickly becoming a key means for people to satisfy their information and entertainment needs, small businesses that fail to include it in their internet marketing strategies will do so at their peril." This is just one way our Social Media Program stand-outs among the competition. If your looking for a way to capitalize on online marketing and increase your online engagement, we can help.  Also, if you are seeking more information about our ScreenPlay program click here or call 1-800-888-4084 and schedule your demo today.

David vs. Goliath in the World of SEO

Are local businesses getting squeezed out of search results by larger websites?

When it comes to search, many local businesses rely on “generic” keywords such as “plumber”, “dentist”, and “attorney”, or “service” keywords such as “radiator repair”, “teeth whitening”, and “divorce lawyer”. But while these keywords are critical for local businesses, many of them are getting shut out of search results by larger websites. These larger websites include news or publisher sites, national business directories, large national advertisers, and national or local government sites.

At the heart of the issue is the searcher’s intent. When someone enters “teeth whitening” into Google, the search engine must determine what the person wants. Do they want to know what’s involved in the process, do they want to find a product that will whiten their teeth, or do they want a local dentist? Without a clear understanding of what the searcher wants, Google will respond with more generic results, squeezing local businesses out. For these generic terms, all three major search engines (Google, Bing, and Yahoo) show an average of just two to three local results, with the large websites dominating the rankings.

The best hope for local businesses lie with “long tail” search terms. These include “emergency 24hr plumber”, “private cosmetic dentist”, “top DUI attorney”. When using these terms, local businesses get an average of 50% or more visibility in the search results. And when combined with “geo-modified” terms the results are even better.

For example, the term “cosmetic dentist phoenix az” will give the searcher almost an entire page of local results in all three search engines. And with mobile search now outranking all other search platforms, search engines now base many of their results on your location, further providing local businesses with an advantage over the larger websites.

So what conclusion can we gather from this? Long tail terms offer the best organic ranking opportunity, so local businesses need a solid content and SEO strategy that delivers results for these long tail terms.

Capturing How Your Patients Feel

review

Patient reviews are a crucial part of growing your practice. Patient reviews can help your practice increase the number of patients you bring and build your online reputation, which helps your with your overall marketing strategy.

When people are searching for a business the number one thing they are looking for is what others are saying about that business. Of course you think your practice is amazing, but potential patients want to know if others think your practice is amazing. Patient reviews are an excellent means of building and extending your reputation. Giving your patients the opportunity to create and post reviews is also an important part of optimizing your site for search engines. What’s the best way to gain reviews and testimonials? Here are 3 ways.

Promote review accounts:
Within your office and online promote the reviews where patients can leave their personal reviews. Promoting your review accounts lets patient know there is place where they can let their opinions be known.

Offer incentives:
It's ok to offer to small incentives such as a pratice t-shirt  or reward hub points for patients who leave reviews, but never offer incentives and tell patients what it should say in their review.

Simply ask:
One of best ways to get reviews just by asking. While patients are in your office ask them if they would do you the pleasure of leaving a review. The one of the best times to do this is right after a patient is debanded, this is an exciting time and you want to capture that excited. Many practices post before and after photos of patients once they have completed treatment, but you can make those photos more powerful by adding a review statement.Videos are also a great way for others to see how some feels versus just reading a review.

We offer several programs, products and applications to stimulate reviews so they can post to your site, to popular review sites such as Google Reviews and Yelp. All reviews posted to your website are managed by you. Our Solutions by Design "Reviewer" module integrates with your website and allows patients to create and post comments or reviews at their convenience.
