Fresno Fair Exhibit Wins First Place

The Big Fresno Fair won First Place in the Western Annual Fair Association for New Innovative Use of Technology.

Solutions by Design was asked to develop a display to be placed in the Big Fresno Fair Museum to honor the great Fresno boxing tradition.  Fresno is the home of 8 National Boxing Legends including Wayne Thornton. We were fortunate enough to have been provided actual video for each of the fighters dating back to 1921.

The exhibit was designed for our Touch Activated 27” horizontal display.  We featured dynamic graphics and a menu system to allow the viewer to select from any of the 8 boxing greats and watch a condensed video from each fight.  Viewership was off the charts during this past year fair.  John Alkire, Big Fresno Fair CEO entered our display into the Western Annual Fair Association competition.  This was a heavily submitted category and very competitive.

Special thanks to John and his team for their friendship and enthusiasm on this and other projects!  We enjoy developing custom applications for the Big Fresno Fair!

Montage: New Competitive Trivia

This new update is a lot of fun! We have 2 new versions of Competitive Trivia. Our Fun Trivia stays the same. Competitive Trivia for the “Individual Practice” allows your patients to compete among themselves over a defined period of time. The Trivia Placeholder Graphic alerts each Client to “Play and Win” the prize is typically a gift card, but it can be more, it’s up to you.  Each participating client that gets 10 out of 10 is Congratulated and prompted to enter their name, email, cell info etc.

They are then prompted to take a photo directly from the Montage Board board. All 10 of 10 rock stars are automatically entered into a random drawing at the end of the term, which is user defined, it can be a monthly game, quarterly game or a longer duration if desired. The winner which is automatically selected by will receive an email alerting them that they have won.

“Global Trivia” allows your clients to compete nationally with all other Montage Users. Throughout the World. Same basic process and rules apply except 10 for 10 players are entered into a drawing along with ALL of the other Montage Users throughout the world. Solutions by Design will select, pay for and distribute the prize.

Each Game will be comprised of 10 questions and will be random from our library of over 7,000 Montage trivia questions!

Big Fresno Fair, Big Success

We are celebrating another successful event. In October, The Big Fresno Fair in Fresno, California showcased its annual award-winning Fresno County Historical Museum. The annual museum showcases the broader history of Fresno County, providing a place for everyone to learn about and see the diverse and rich history. The Big Fresno Fair is Central California’s largest event, attracting over 600,000 people every year, it is the fifth largest fair in the State of California.

Solutions By Design created a custom experience for fair attendees in collaboration with several Fresno organizations, including The Fresno Armenian Association and The Fresno County Historical Museum.

Solutions By Design designed custom interactive experiences using our Montage Interactive Display board. The Armenian History exhibit attracted those wanting to learn more about Armenian history and their contributions to the Fresno community. Our two interactive digital display boards had a custom interface where users engaged with historical locations and facts.

The two-story museum featured the fair’s newest exhibit that celebrated Fresno Boxing history. Solutions By Design created a custom Montage interface and hardware solution to present the past and present professional boxers in Central California. The exhibit takes you through the rich history of boxing in the Valley, through an interactive display board.

Our custom interactive display board played a large role in bringing history to attendees in an important interactive way, that engages and brings community history to life. View how attendees viewed engaged with Fresno history.

Fresno County Athletic Hall of Fame and SBD

The Fresno County Athletic Hall of Fame has selected Solutions by Design to design, program and install an expansive sport exhibit system at the The Save Mart Center on the Fresno State Campus in Fresno, CA. This is a major project featuring a 15” Touch Video Wall, 30 information kiosks an overhead truss system supporting 18 65” Digital displays and more.

The Fresno Athletic Hall of Fame located at the Save Mart Center, home of the Fresno State Bulldogs, will feature a 32” suspended truss system with 16 digital monitors streaming video and action graphics sure to amaze attendees. Programming and content development are under way!

The new Fresno Athletic Hall of Fame is all about the kids. Providing guidance, inspiring Fresno County youth is a key objective of the new Hall. While not every child will be a Hall of Fame Athlete, we anticipate that by providing a dynamic presentation of Hall of Fame Athletes we will inspire today’s youth to achieve greatness in their own way.

Interactive and Technological:

A key component of the new Fresno Athletic Hall of Fame is our interactive, on-demand video kiosks. Each of our stars will present their own story on “how sports influenced their lives”.  We will be adding content each year as new inductees make their way to the Fresno Athletic Hall of fame

New Features and More 3D for Veterinarians!

Our newly enhanced Whiteboard library of clinical content is now organized by “Type” of content.  3D Medical Illustrations, Icons, Videos and “My Library allow each user to create their own library and organize each section as desired. 

Our TPLO Procedure 3D animation video is awesome. And the first of many to come. Our Animation department is finishing up on an extensive library of 3D animations on the human side and will soon begin the Animal Series. We are excited about this series as there is nothing like it in veterinary medicine.
