Capturing the Moment with Bailey Orthodontics

As an orthodontist smiles walk in and out of your office daily. But have you keyed in on capturing those moments? Dr. Spencer Bailey of Bailey Orthodontics has done just that with our Social Media Program.

Bailey Insta

Just a few months ago Dr. Bailey and his staff decided to join the Instagram craze and have been seeing great success. Instagram is a photo sharing application used to capture moments and post them for followers to view, like, comment and share. Dr. Bailey and his have staff have been consistent in posting photos weekly from first day in Braces to debands and even special office moments.

“When a patient is either getting their braces on or off that day, we ask their parents if we can take a photo and post it to Instagram. We also ask if we can tag them and get their account if they have one,” said Bailey Orthodontics Treatment Coordinator Jessica Van Loo.

In a busy office like Bailey Orthodontics taking and posting photos can seem like a hassle, but the staff has made has made the process convenient for everyone.

“We use an iPod in the clinic to play music and use it also to take/post the pictures. It makes it easy to have a designated device already back there”

Patients and parents alike are enjoying having Instagram as a part of their visit. Instagram also serves as a platform where patients can connect to faces and scenes in the office that they recognize keep them connected with Dr. Bailey outside the office.

Creating Content Across the Board

Not only do these photos display on your Instagram profile, but photo can be shared across multiple platforms.  Once the photo is posted on Instagram you have the ability to share to other social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Flickr. Also you can send photos out via email.

Once the photo is posted on Instagram Dr. Bailey can then share photos tohis practice Facebook page and Twitter account. So with one photo Dr. Bailey has created pieces of valuable content for all his social media channels.
